Make sure your resume stands out, just like you: Keep your resume updated and mention all the relevant skills, certifications and qualifications you possess for the required job. Since recruiters today, are bombarded with resumes, some even use a software to scan for specific keywords; so if your resume is generic in nature, it may be left out. Hence, be sure to mention your Key Skills.

Fill the complete job application form: Filling job applications can be extremely time consuming. If you are applying for a job, then “Do It Right”; by completing the entire application. Anything less will make you appear as lazy. Recruiters are not keen on candidates who lack enthusiasm.

Be available and easy to contact: Even if you are a busy person, you have to give Top Priority to your job search. If u get a call or a message from a recruiter, be sure to reply as soon as possible. Any delay in replying will cost you the job. Similarly, don’t play Hard to Get with recruiters, as it will send them a signal that you are not interested.

Keep yourself up to speed with current events: You should never allow yourself to stop learning. Continuous up skilling should feel like a habit. If you dedicate half an hour a week to learning something new, it will help you in the long-run; and it’s an investment for your future.

Maintain a strong online brand: In order to make it as easy for recruiters to get to know you and your career ambitions; it’s more important than ever, to build a strong online personal brand. Take out time to optimize your online data. Make sure your profile is updated on professional sites like LinkedIn and other social media platforms that can give you an added advantage over others who are not.
