Job Description:

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare monthly management report and monthly closing report to Division.
Prepare quarterly LIFO Inventory Report.
Month-end closing entries and manufacturing and financial closed for Penrose Dept., as well as manufacturing and financial close for Compound department.
Budget Preparation as follows:
Work with Purchasing dept. for Material Cost Planning.
Prepare MPS/MRP based on the forecast volumes for budgeting.
Work with production departmental supervisors for their spending budget.
Rough Cut Capacity planning for Direct Labor Forecast.
Direct Labor manning based on Standard Labor Operations.
Update any scrap changes and scrap comparison Actual vs. Budget.
Scrap calculations by Product Group for Budgeting purposes.
Calculate Fixed Overhead distribution by departments.
Calculate cost average by product group, by house product line, by item.
Set up items for new products.
Standard cost updates due to changes in materials and/or labor operations.
Approve daily invoices for payment.
Prepare labor performance report.
Physical Inventory Coordinator, as well as, physical inventory control.
Other requests by managers and supervisors for analytical duties.
Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Undergraduate degree in business with emphasis in accounting or finance.
MBA and/or CPA required. Any additional certifications (CMA, CME, etc.) preferred.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years background in manufacturing financial analysis and/or budgeting.

Thorough knowledge of inventory accounting theory and practice.
Proficiency in planning, analyzing, written and oral communications.
Ability to supervise a variety of complex tasks simultaneously.
Ability to interface with all levels of internal and external personnel.
Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
Highly knowledgeable in accounting software; manufacturing structure/product costs software and ability to create reports from complicated database systems.
Advance computer skills, i.e. Access, Excel, JD Edwards.
Strong skills in 10-key calculation; basic operating procedures of Windows, printer, copier, and fax.

The employee is occasionally required to
stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
Ability to work under pressure to meet weekly, monthly, and yearly deadlines.
The noise level in the work environment is normally quiet to moderate.
100% of day spent indoors.
